● SynopsisA video piece presents the reality of women whose careers are based on irregular labor work. Deprived of the privilege to create a labor union and having to live with the uncertainty of being laid off, irregular labor workers are excluded from various labor rights. Such unreasonable environment only deepens women's economic exploitation and dependency on men while aggravating another gender hierarchy within the labor force. ● Program NoteFrom a TV scriptwriter, an academy instructor and a golf caddy to a dispatched worker, this video film presents the reality of women whose careers are based on irregular labor work. Deprived of the privilege to create a labor union and having to live with the uncertainty of being laid off, irregular labor workers are excluded from various labor rights, including medical insurance benefits. Such an unreasonable and unstable environment only deepens women’s economic exploitation and dependency on men while aggravating another kind of gender hierarchy within the labor force. Subsequently women are being driven into the far peripheries of capitalism. A film that exposes the oppressive reality of women in various fields of irregular labor work.
